There's so many different interesting and fun things to do in the Williamsport area that we can't put them all in categories. This list represents interesting things that are unique or individual enough that there aren't enough of them for their own category.

Cruise down the Susquehanna this summer on the Hiawatha, an authentic stern Paddlewheeler, schedule a private wine tasting or party at the Bastress Mountain Winery, or explore the world of mambas, cobras, vipers, pythons and other rare and beautiful snakes at Clyde Peeling's Reptiland. Whatever your interest and inclination, it's bound to be nearby.

Downtown Williamsport  •  0 miles    

Downtown Williamsport lies primarily within the ten-block grid formed by West 4th Street and West 3rd Street to the north and south, and William Street and State Street to the west and east. The Heart of Williamsport is its Downtown Business District with over 500 businesses providing Banking, Legal, Professional, Medical, Shopping, Dining, Overnight and Extended Accommodations, Entertainment and much more.

Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat  •  1.9 miles

Cruise down the Susquehanna this summer on the Hiawatha, an authentic stern Paddlewheeler. The Hiawatha is a replica of its namesake that sunk in 1914 due to a bad storm. Located in the Susquehanna State Park, pack a picnic lunch and come enjoy a day down by the river. Within Williamsport itself, the Susquehanna State Park borders the Susquehanna River as it wraps along the southern edge of town. Operates May through October.

Clyde Peeling's Reptiland  •  9.0 miles

Reptiland is a specialized zoo that introduces visitors to the less-loved members of the animal kingdom in a safe, entertaining format. Explore the world of mambas, cobras, vipers, pythons and other rare and beautiful snakes. Giant alligators, gentle tortoises, curious lizards and colorful frogs also await discovery on this zoological adventure. An exciting multi-media show reveals the close-up world of reptiles on the big screen and live lecture demonstrations offer guests the chance to touch harmless specimens and speak with friendly experts.

The Lycoming Mall is convenietly located east of Williamsport on Rte. 180 and has over 100 business under one roof. There are major department stores, smaller specialty shops, as well as variety or restaurants and services. Don't forget to stop and visit the carousel in center court. Shops include specialty boutiques, art galleries, bargain outlets, antiques shops, quaint country stores and hand crafted jewelry stores.
