Williamsport Mardi Gras This local Williamsport Mardi Gras celebration is certain to carry its own share of fun. Folks often dress up and don masks, beads are thrown as favors, and a parade showcases all of the spectacle and merriment. The Tour de Bill is a casual 15-mile ride on Williamsport city streets. The route goes to the West Fourth Street Historic District, through the campuses of Penn College of Technology and Lycoming College, and around a variety of residential and cultural areas. Proceeds from the Tour de Bill go to the Williamsport YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign which provides scholarships to needy families in the community. The Billtown Blues Festival is designed to be an inexpensive all day event where you are permitted to bring food and beverage, creating a family picnic, festive atmosphere. It's a family music event that has put Billtown square in the middle of the live Blues map. Williamsport is approximately 15 miles from the Festival grounds. Take advantage of the FREE bus shuttle service that is available from the Genetti Hotel. The Crosscutters are a minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Home games are held at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport Annual Juneteenth Celebration Entertainment will include an acting performance, full bands, dance troupes and speakers. July 4: Williamsport Fireworks Display Enjoy a festive day in downtown Williamsport. Food and Craft vendors as well as musical entertainment. Williamsport Symphony Orchestra Opening Night Location: Community Arts Center, 220 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 (2nd Saturday): Williamsport Oktoberfest German heritage takes the forefront at this popular autumnal festival. Folks turn out in the crisp air for a day of family-filled amusements in Downtown Williamsport. Arts and crafts vendors present their wares, games and competitions are held, and plenty of authentic music rings through the streets. The children's section has pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, Halloween crafts for kids, story telling by the James V. Brown Library and more.
